Welding Machine FAQ — Buying, Import, Technical & OEM Questions

Quick answers for international welding machine buyers.

General FAQ

Yes. All our machines are CE certified. CSA certification is also available for North American markets. Certificates can be downloaded from our Certifications page.

Standard MOQ is 20 units for mixed models. Trial orders as low as 5 units per model are accepted. Volume discounts apply for container-sized orders.

Yes. We manufacture all voltage configurations. Our wide-voltage design handles ±15% grid fluctuations — critical for regions with unstable power supply.

Yes. OEM is a core service. We customize body color, control panels, logos, voltage, and welding parameters. Visit our OEM Service page for details.

1-year free warranty on all machines. After the warranty period, we supply spare parts at cost. Our dealer network provides local repair support in key markets.

Standard production lead time is 15-30 days depending on order size. Sea freight typically takes 15-35 days depending on destination. Air freight is available for urgent orders.

Yes. We encourage sample orders so you can test our machines with your specific materials and conditions. Sample pricing and shipping details available on request.

We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C (letter of credit), and other standard international trade payment methods. Terms are negotiable for established partnerships.

Technical FAQ

Duty cycle is the percentage of a 10-minute period that a welding machine can operate at a given amperage before thermal protection activates. For example, a 60% duty cycle at 200A means 6 minutes of welding followed by 4 minutes of cooling. Always match the duty cycle to your production demands -- a hobbyist may only need 20-30%, while a fabrication shop doing continuous welding needs 60-100% at the rated output.

Yes, all BrightWelding IGBT inverter machines are generator-compatible, provided the generator has sufficient capacity. We recommend a generator rated at 1.5-2x the welder's maximum input power to handle inrush current. For best results, use a generator with less than 6% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) to protect the inverter electronics from dirty power.

IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) technology offers higher current capacity, better thermal stability, and longer service life compared to MOSFET-based inverters. IGBT machines handle industrial-duty cycles more reliably and are less prone to failure from voltage spikes. All BrightWelding machines use IGBT technology for industrial-grade reliability and consistent arc performance under demanding conditions.

Shipping FAQ

Yes, we offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping to most major markets including the EU, North America, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Under DDP terms, we handle all freight, customs clearance, duties, and local delivery -- you receive the goods at your door with no additional charges. DDP is ideal for first-time importers who want a hassle-free experience without navigating customs procedures.

All welding machines are packed in export-grade corrugated cartons with high-density foam inserts and then loaded onto fumigated ISPM 15-compliant wooden pallets. Each pallet is stretch-wrapped and strapped for container stability. We also offer custom plywood case packaging for fragile or high-value orders at a small additional cost. All packaging materials comply with international shipping standards for heavy industrial equipment.

Payment FAQ

For first-time orders, our standard terms are 30% deposit by T/T upon order confirmation and 70% balance before shipment. Once production is complete, we provide photos and videos of your finished goods along with the packing list. After balance payment clears, we release the shipment. For trial orders under $5,000, we also accept 100% payment through Alibaba Trade Assurance for buyer protection.

Yes, for established customers with a consistent order history of at least 3 container shipments over 6 months, we offer flexible payment terms including 30% deposit with 70% net 30 days after shipment, or 100% L/C at sight. Trade credit limits are assessed based on order volume, payment history, and business credit references. Contact your account manager to discuss eligibility for extended payment terms.
